Abstract: As Single Page Applications (SPAs) continue to gain prominence in modern web development, choosing the right framework or library for building these applications has become critical. This comparative study examines Angular and React, two of the most popular technologies for SPA development. Angular, a comprehensive framework developed by Google, and React, a library for building user interfaces developed by Facebook, represent distinct approaches to SPA development. This study provides a detailed comparison based on several key criteria: performance, scalability, ease of use, development speed, and community support. Performance metrics are analyzed through benchmarks and real-world application scenarios to evaluate how each technology handles large-scale and complex SPAs. Scalability is assessed by examining how Angular and React manage growing application sizes and complexities. Ease of use is investigated through developer experiences, including learning curves and ease of integration with other tools and libraries. Development speed is measured by evaluating the efficiency of building, testing, and deploying applications using each technology. Community support is reviewed by analyzing the resources available for developers, including documentation, forums, and third-party libraries. The findings reveal that Angular provides a comprehensive, opinionated framework with built-in tools and features that can streamline development for complex applications. In contrast, React offers a more flexible, component-based approach with a strong ecosystem of supporting libraries that can be tailored to specific needs. Both technologies have their strengths and trade-offs, making them suitable for different types of projects. This study aims to provide developers and decision-makers with a nuanced understanding of Angular and React, helping them make informed choices based on project requirements and development goals. The results highlight the strengths and limitations of each technology, offering practical recommendations for selecting the most appropriate solution for SPA development.
