How does the organizational procedures of Trampoline house affect the fulfillment of the mission of the organization?
Asylum seekers, refugees, forced migrants, integration, social organization, institutional work, social mission, Trampoline house, democracy, legitimacy, collaboration.
A research project that sought to understand how an organization in the social sector can portray and
influence its social mission through its procedures. Looking at how the activities and structure of this
organization can influence the social values it seeks to add to its community.
Trampoline house being the case study organization, the researchers made use of both secondary and
primary data. Trying to understand the relationship between documents and articles released by the
organization, different meetings organized with regards the mission and values of the establishment.
Reasonable participant observation was done by the researchers, especially during house meetings
and seminars. Our ontology being that of constructivism also facilitated the use of the theories and
the data we were able to collect. The procedures institutional actors take can either create
opportunities or disrupt institutions.
